🌿 Welcome

Welcome, friend. I’m so glad you’re here.

You’ll often see me sign my devotionals and blog posts as Faithful Pen—a name that reflects the calling God placed deep in my spirit: To write for Him.

There was a season in my life when I felt like I was merely existing—doing all the right things outwardly, but inwardly, I was weary. Spiritually dry. Emotionally worn. I loved God, but I didn’t feel connected. I longed for more—more intimacy with Him, more clarity, more purpose.

It was in that quiet ache that the Lord gently whispered to my heart:

"Write. Share what I’ve shown you. Speak the truth of My Word."

So I picked up my pen with trembling hands and an obedient heart. I began writing devotionals rooted in scripture—reflections that grew from my own walk with God. And with every post I wrote, I felt a shift:

✨ My spirit came alive.
✨ My hope was renewed.
✨ My passion for God’s Word deepened.
✨ And my calling became clear.

✨ A Leap of Faith: Trusting God with the Unknown

Before His Words Give Life was a ministry, it was a whisper. A quiet nudge. A sense that I had something to share—but I was afraid.

"Lord," I prayed, "how can I do this? I’m a mom, a grandmother. How do I begin learning to write or build a ministry? I don’t even know where to start—and I don’t have the money to invest in something like this."

Still, the calling wouldn’t go away. It tugged at me daily.

Then one day, I came across an online writing course. It was exactly what I needed—but it cost a few thousand dollars. And we didn’t have that kind of money to spare. Still, I shared my heart with my husband. To my surprise, he said something that changed everything:

“You need to do this. We’ll find a way.”

He saw something in me I hadn’t yet seen in myself. So, with a mixture of fear and faith, we put it on a credit card and took the leap.

The months that followed were hard. I often felt overwhelmed. I questioned if I’d made a mistake. But then—God showed up in the most unexpected way.

📬 A letter arrived from the IRS.

It said my previous employer—who I hadn’t worked for in three years—had made an error in my pay. They owed me $2,200.

The exact amount we had charged for the class.
Not a penny more. Not a penny less.

Fourteen years of work, three years since leaving, and yet God provided—to the dollar—just when we needed it.

As I write this now, tears still come to my eyes. That moment became a defining marker in my journey. God not only called me—He equipped me. He made a way where there was none.

📖 From Pen to Platform: The Birth of His Words Give Life

What began with a writing course and a few blog posts soon blossomed into something much more:

  • A YouTube channel.

  • A ministry.

  • A calling lived out loud.

The His Words Give Life YouTube Channel was born from this blog. It has become one of the most powerful parts of our mission—sharing devotionals, biblical teachings, and encouragement in video form to reach hearts all over the world.

Now, through both written and spoken word, I share not as someone who has it all figured out—but as someone who has been there. In the doubt. In the dry seasons. In the “How could God use someone like me?” questions.

And now I write—and speak—to tell you:

He can. And He will.

🙏 A Prayer for You

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for each person reading these words. You know their heart, their burdens, their dreams, and their doubts.

For the one who feels called but afraid, let Your perfect love cast out all fear. Remind them that You don’t call the equipped—you equip the called.

For the one who feels hopeless, speak peace into their soul. Let Your Word be their anchor in the storm and their light in the darkness.

For the one who is in need of provision, be their Provider. Just as You opened the heavens and provided in my time of need, I pray You will meet them in theirs. Show them that You see them, know them, and have not forgotten them.

Strengthen their faith, Lord. Encourage their hearts. Lead them step by step into the calling You have placed upon their life.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
