Hey friend,
I hope this message finds you in great spirits and eager to explore the wonderful journey of living out God’s beautiful plan for us. Let’s dive into something many of us grapple with—the quest to uncover our true calling.
The Kingdom of God, as described in Romans 14:17, is not just about everyday matters but about living a life filled with righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit. Isn’t that something?
As we continue this journey of living out God’s plan, let's delve deeper into the profound insights from John 15 regarding our connection to Christ. As stated in Genesis 1:27, we're made in His image, endowed with creativity and the capacity to reflect God's creative nature. This connection empowers us to become active participants in His Kingdom.
I have a bit of my story to share with you, too. Despite having "good" jobs, I often felt disconnected and inadequate, as if I were missing something significant. It wasn’t until my early 50s that I realized this shift was driven by something deep inside—a pull toward living not under man-made rules but God's laws—the laws of His Kingdom. Genesis 1:28 encourages us to "be fruitful and multiply," not just physically, but also in utilizing our talents and abilities in truly fulfilling ways. Understanding the Hebrew meaning of being "fruitful," from the word "peru," has opened up a profound reflection on the ripple effects our actions can have. Just as each fruit ("peri") has the potential to grow into a tree that bears more fruit, our actions and contributions can propagate prosperity generationally for our families and communities.
Once I turned to Scripture and allowed the Holy Spirit to guide me, as taught in John 15, my life began to undergo a transformation. I found my calling in creating, inspiring, and sharing the Good News. This journey taught me that real fulfillment comes not from external validation but from aligning with God’s divine purpose. Reflecting on these scriptures has deeply influenced my personal journey. John 15 offers a beautiful promise: by remaining in Christ, we can bear a bountiful harvest of fruit. This isn't merely about spiritual growth; it's about making a significant impact on the world. When we stay connected to Jesus, He assures us that whatever we ask in His name to produce fruit for the Kingdom will be granted. This isn't just about answering prayers in a general sense; it's directly linked to our effectiveness and productivity in our divine assignments.
So here’s my encouragement: no matter your age or stage in life, it’s never too late to seek what truly fulfills you. Dive into the Scriptures, listen for that quiet tug at your spirit, and dare to believe that God has something incredible in store for you, as promised in Matthew 6:33. As we use our unique talents in our communities and churches, remember that every small act is significant. Every contribution sends ripples through the Kingdom of God, expanding it further into our world.
Here’s a prayer for this journey:
Lord Jesus, help me to stay connected to You and remain in Your love. Help me to recognize and use my talents to glorify You and serve others, as we’re guided by the fruits of the Spirit listed in Galatians 5:22-23. May everything I ask in Your name to produce fruit be granted, so that I may contribute richly to Your Kingdom. Amen.
Thanks for reflecting with me today. Let’s keep striving to be fruitful in every aspect of our lives, always remaining connected to the source of our creativity and purpose—our Lord Jesus Christ.
